Centre for Community Initiatives (CCI)
is a non-profit Organization established in 2004 by the Tanzania professional who had the desire of helping poor communities to develop their quality of lifethrough sustainable solution.
To have an improved quality of all Tanzanians particurly women living in informal settlement and rural setting by providing support to micro finance community driven, land and shelter, water and sanitation, health and HIV / AIDS and other development activities
Main Objectives

Other Specific Objects
To support communities with skills to implement community based micro finance initiatives which includes savings and loans schemes
To help communities gather socio-economic information through the design and implementation of enumeration and community mapping
To support communities with advocacy and negotiations skills
To enhance the skills and capacity building for community on micro finance and development activities through training and exchange visits locally and internationally
To be involved in networking, lobbying and collaboration activities with government, NGOs and other International organizations
To support communities with skills to based institution (federation) for urban poor fund which could be used for various development activities within their settlements

Federation is a network of small savings and loaning groups living in informal settlements. The small groups formed are within the same neighborhood with members from 15 to 100 for a larger group.
